Message	I dunno to be honest. Since the ECU does utilize RAM that can be read by the consult port as well, it might have been an easy solution for them (Nissan Gurus) to allow RAM access thru consult as well as ROM info since they use separate BUS's. Either way it makes the RTP project much much easier for the average guy. No hardware modification needed, no burner needed, etc, etc. The NVSRAM can come pre-programmed with the stock code, and thru ZControl you can updated it however you see fit.
